CIREE to Reform

The Central Illinois Renewable Energy Expo is changing its look and its name! The Peoria County 4H & Extension Foundation is joining efforts with Illinois Central College, TRICON, Lakeview Museum, and the Sun Foundation to offer the Central Illinois Sustainability Expo.

The event, which will be held at the main campus in East Peoria, will be moved to the fall, and be held on September 10 and 11. Watch for more details and a new website soon!

Federal Monies for Pennycress

18th District Congressman Aaron Schock announced that $500,000 in federal monies would be coming to Illinois for a biodiesel plant that will turn pennycress into fuel.
